About The Site

For 2024, Beavers Retreat has 3 Original Geodomes, 3 Eco Domes, 2 Luxury XL Domes, 2 Cosy Domes family sized bell tents. We can accommodate up to 41 people on site. The retreat is set in a quiet location, just 1.5 miles from Manorbier beach, and 5 miles west of Tenby. Jameston village is also within walking distance, around 0.5 miles away. The village is home to two pubs serving drinks and food.

With the retreat offering a getaway from your hectic everyday life, smack bang in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National park, there is no electric to the site, meaning the 3 shared hot showers are run off gas.

Facilities

  • Each unit has a private allocated flushing toilet in a central area. They are clearly labelled for your use and are locked with a coded padlock.

  • 3 hot gas showers shared between the 10 units.

  • 2 hot washing up areas.

  • Recycling station with a bin for almost everything.

  • Drinking water on each pitch.

  • Lockable charging lockers for each unit.

  • Solar powered freezer on site for refreezing ice packs.

We have kept the environment in mind, and all of the facilities on site are built to be movable and not a permanent fixture on the landscape. The waste tanks are even above ground ‘tuff’ tanks, which means that our footprint on the land is as low as it possibly can be, and short term if need be.

Beavers Retreat is a small, quiet family & couples orientated Glamping site. We do not accept large group bookings unless they book out the entire site and we have a strict low noise policy between 10pm - 7.30am. Please respect these rules, and if you are looking to party this is not the site for you. We offer families, couples and under 4 friends the chance to get together in the great outdoors, and enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep, ready to explore the beautiful surrounding area the following day. There is a very slow-moving train track alongside the field and the trains are infrequent (1/2 an hour at most). The first train is around 7am, and the last train 10:30pm.

Environmentally Friendly - Carbon Offset Scheme

We believe we have responsibility to be environmentally friendly, therefore we commit to planting a tree for every booking that we receive. The water on site is taken from a natural spring, and the high-pressure showers are gravity fed, therefore we take absolutely nothing from the grid - how is that for carbon offset?
